The woman said she was struck around her head with batons as she grappled with the men to prevent them getting any further into her house.

Video footage of the men calling at her home has been shared online.

It shows both men wearing face coverings.

Their victim said: “Was chilling today in the house. Knock at door and I was expecting someone who looked very much like the chap who was at my door. I answered and he said that he had a parcel and then he forced his way in and the other lad appeared.

“They proceeded to hit me around the head numerous times with batons and my son was in the room with his head set on.

“I could not let them through the hallway to my son and so I grappled and fought with them.

“I managed to get them out of the house. Massive egg on head and lots of bruises around the front of my head.

“Watch it guys because this lockdown making people desperate. Don’t answer your door to parcel deliveries; ask them to leave it at the door.”
