In the most recent incident, two men were shot when gunmen burst into a house in Shirland Place, Darnall, at 10.09pm on Saturday, February 22.

Two men, aged 34 and 27, were injured and taken to hospital but have since been allowed home.

Three men, aged 40, 32 and 25, who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, have been released under investigation.

Last week a man was seriously injured in a shooting in Broomhall.

The 24-year-old was taken to hospital for surgery after being found with gunshot wounds to his neck and back in William Street at around 11.30pm on Tuesday, February 18.

No arrests have yet been made.

On Friday, January 24, a 22-year-old man was shot in a car on Hill Street, close to the junction with London Road.

He staggered into the nearby Premier store on Bramall Lane to raise the alarm.

No arrests have yet been made.

On Sunday, January 12, a 12-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting on Northern Avenue, Arbourthorne.

Police said he was an innocent bystander.

Six arrests have been made so far, with two men - Devon Gregory, aged 23, of Heeley Green, Heeley and Stephen Dunford, 25, of Fellbrigg Road, Arbourthorne - accused of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

On Friday, January 10, there were two shootings in Sheffield in the space of five minutes.

A gun was fired in Northcote Avenue, Meersbrook and there was a shooting at the Kettle Black bar on Ecclesall Road.

Four arrests have been made over the Meersbrook incident and one man - Luca Premi, 24, of Treswell Crescent, Hillsborough - has been charged over the incident at the bar.

On Sunday, January 7, a 44-year-old man was shot in his arm on Carlisle Street, Burngreave, but no arrests have yet been made.

On Saturday, January 4, a man was shot on Staniforth Road, Darnall.

Two arrests were made but no charges have yet been brought.
