Police investigate FOUR shootings in Sheffield in 24 hours - everything known so far

- The first shooting under investigation was reported just after midnight on Friday after a gun was fired at a group of men in Grimesthorpe Road, Burngreave.
- Three men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds although their injuries were not life threatening.

Hide Ad- At around 2am on Friday, a 53-year-old man was shot in his arm and leg in Club Garden Road, Sharrow.
- He was taken to hospital but, again, his injuries were not life threatening.
- At 6.54pm on Friday police responded to reports from members of the community of shots fired in Machon Bank, Nether Edge.
- Two groups of men fired guns at each other in broad daylight - damaging two vehicles and a window of a nearby house.
- A gun was found by the police nearby.

Hide Ad- At around 7.30pm a gun was fired at a house on Union Street, Nether Edge.
- South Yorkshire Police said detectives are linking the two latest incidents and crime scene cordons remain in place at both locations today.
- All four shootings are said to have been ‘targeted’ attacks.
- Police patrols have been stepped up in the suburbs where the shootings occurred.
