Police heard ordering Page Hall residents back to their homes in shocking footage

Residents claim 15 police cars and three ambulances were deployed to Willoughby Street, Page Hall, shortly after midnight after a disturbance broke out.

In a video shot by a resident, a number of police officers can be seen urging people gathered in the street to return to their homes.

A number of officers can be seen dealing with a male on the ground while screaming and shouting can be heard in the background.

It is understood that at least one arrest was made but details have not yet been released by South Yorkshire Police.

An empty house on neighbouring Robey Street was recently turned into a police base for a new team set up to tackle issues in Page Hall.

The area is plagued by fly-tipping, noise complaints, groups congregating in the street and anti-social behaviour.
