It is one of the first firework related crimes to be reported this year.

Emergency services are traditionally busy with firework incidents on Bonfire Night.

Last year officers were called to dozens of firework-related incidents on Bonfire Night itself.

Between 7pm on Wednesday, November 5, and 6am on Thursday November 6, 2025, officers attended 48 separate incidents involving fireworks.

Fortunately, the force confirmed that no serious injuries or property damage were reported.

Last year Superintendent Charlotte Bloxham, the force lead for the force’s ‘Dark Nights’ campaign then, warned there would be a zero-tolerance stance towards reckless behaviour involving fireworks.

She said: “We have a zero-tolerance approach to anyone who poses a threat to life, property, or public safety, including our officers.”
