Emergency services are at a cordon in place in Sheffield after the discovery of a suspected bomb.

Police were called at around 8.55am this morning to reports that a suspected WW2 explosive device had been discovered in the garden of a property on Ashleigh Avenue in Sheffield, close to Ridgeway Road. Picture: Chris Etchells

Paramedics are also at the scene after being informed of the discovery.

South Yorkshire Police said: “People are being advised to avoid the area at this time.”
