Police appeal for witnesses after South Yorkshire stabbing

Detectives have released CCTV footage of three people they would like to identify as part of their investigation in to a stabbing in Rotherham town centre last week.

At around 10.15pm on Wednesday 31 March, officers were called to reports that an 18-year-old man had been stabbed close to All Saints Square. On arrival, officers discovered that an 18-year-old woman has also been assaulted and had items stolen from her.

The man was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his abdomen. He has been discharged and is now recovering at home. The woman did not require medical treatment.

Rotherham detectives are now sharing this footage as they believe those captured could hold vital information about what happened that night. They are believed to be in their late teens and mixed race. They were all wearing either grey or dark-coloured clothing.
