Murder suspect bailed after questioning over fatal shooting of Sheffield solicitor
A man arrested over the murder of a Sheffield solicitor who was shot dead in the city has been bailed after police questioning.
The 19-year-old suspect was arrested earlier this week over the death of 30-year-old Khuram Javed, also known as Khurm and Khurram and who worked as a solicitor for a city law firm.
The dad-of-two was gunned down in an alleyway off Clough Road, near Bramall Lane, on Saturday, April 10.
Detectives said the married dad-of-two was shot at following a ‘confrontation between two parties’.
Four arrests have been made so far over the death, with 18-year-old Samsul Mohamed, of Wolseley Road, Heeley, charged with murder.
The other three – aged 19, 21 and 23 – have since been released pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information about the murder should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 984 of April 10.
Crimestoppers can also be contacted on 0800 555111.
