Murder suspect bailed after questioning over fatal shooting of Sheffield solicitor

A man arrested over the murder of a Sheffield solicitor who was shot dead in the city has been bailed after police questioning.

The 19-year-old suspect was arrested earlier this week over the death of 30-year-old Khuram Javed, also known as Khurm and Khurram and who worked as a solicitor for a city law firm.

The dad-of-two was gunned down in an alleyway off Clough Road, near Bramall Lane, on Saturday, April 10.

Detectives said the married dad-of-two was shot at following a ‘confrontation between two parties’.

Four arrests have been made so far over the death, with 18-year-old Samsul Mohamed, of Wolseley Road, Heeley, charged with murder.

The other three – aged 19, 21 and 23 – have since been released pending further enquiries.
