Members of public stopped traffic after boy, 16, ‘seriously injured’ in Sheffield car crash

Members of the public stopped and directed traffic in a Sheffield suburb after a teenage boy was seriously injured in a collision with a car.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Manchester Road, Crosspool, at 4.50pm on Thursday, June 10 and found a 16-year-old boy seriously injured.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Passers-by stopped and directed traffic while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The road was closed until around 7pm.
