Man wanted for Cannabis production in Doncaster found trying to escape police in Page Hall property
Police apprehended a man wanted in Doncaster for Cannabis production, after he was caught by officers while trying to flee a home in Page Hall this week.
On February 17, the Sheffield North East Neighbourhood Police Team visited an address on the Wensley Estate in Page Hall to change a lock, but were confronted with two men who ran out of the back when they knocked on the front door.
The pair were both arrested by officers who then realised one of the men who tried to flee the scene was wanted due to a DNA hit for the production of Cannabis in Doncaster.
Police were also alerted to a ‘nuisance’ motorcyclist who had been ‘razzing around the streets of Page Hall’ who they then found and issued him with an antisocial driving warning.
If the man is handed another warning, then the bike will be seized and taken off the roads.
Over the course of this week, officers also gave out over thirty Traffic Offence Reports and recovered vehicles that were being driven without insurance and a valid licence, as part of their commitment to tackling more vehicle antisocial behaviour in the neighbourhood.
In a post on Facebook, the North East team said: “Being out and about in the area and speaking to residents is a really important part of the job, and we rely on people approaching us and letting us know the issues in the area that they want addressing them so we can act on it quickly.
“The team are enjoying a well-earned rest but we will be back before you know it!”
