Officers have released a CCTV image of a man believed to hold vital information about the incident on West Street, Hoyland, at 3.15pm on April 4.
South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a report of malicious communications.
“A man posted a bag of dog excrement through the letter box of an address.”
