A man is wanted by South Yorkshire Police over an assault in a nightclub which left another man with a broken jaw.

Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they believe could hold vital information about the incident in CoCo’s on Peel Street at around 2.30am on Sunday, October 6.

DC Steve Mason said: “This was an unprovoked attack in a busy nightclub, which left the victim with severe injuries.

“Our team have carried out extensive enquiries so far, including reviewing CCTV footage. We are now in position to release this image of a man we think may hold vital information about what happened that night.

“Do you recognise this man? Or have any information about the incident?”
