He is in a coma and his condition is still critical today.

Yesterday, a 27-year-old man was arrested by police on suspicion of assisting an offender.

He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

A 31-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender earlier in the police probe remains on police bail pending further enquiries.

There has been a huge outpouring of support for the victim on social media since the attack, with people across the city willing him to survive.
