Man and woman arrested after large drugs haul found in Sheffield

A man and woman have been arrested over the discovery of a large haul of drugs during a police raid in Sheffield.

The 21-year-old man and 47-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply after officers searched a house on Canada Street, Burngreave.

A large amount of Class A and B drugs were seized along with cash and two knives.

South Yorkshire Police said the raid was planned as part of efforts to disrupt ‘large scale organised crime’ in Burngreave.
