Inquest opens into death of Sheffield man Kamran Khan following fatal stabbing

Kamran, aged 28, who lived on St Ronan's Road in Nether Edge, was found with serious injuries less than a mile from his home address outside a property at Club Garden Road, Highfield, at around 2.15am on Sunday, 15 November.
During the short hearing at the Medico-Legal Centre on Watery Street, held on Friday morning, assistant coroner Tanyka Rawden said: “On November 15, emergency services were called to Club Garden Road in Sheffield and Mr Khan was taken to the Northern General Hospital.
“He passed away during the early hours of the morning.”

Hide AdA post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of a stab wound to the chest.
The inquest heard Kamran was born in Sheffield in August 1992 and was single and unemployed at the time of his death.
Kamran’s aunt and sister attended the hearing.
The inquest has been adjourned until March 23, 2021 to allow criminal proceedings into his death to take place.
Mrs Rawden said it could be postponed again until those proceedings finish.

Hide AdA coroner will then decide whether an inquest needs to be held as details of Kamran’s death may emerge during a potential criminal trial.
Thamraze Khan, 30, of Club Garden Road, has been charged with murder in relation to the death.
He is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court today.
Mrs Rawden said she was ‘truly sorry’ to Kamran’s family for their loss.
