Jordan Marples-Douglas, aged 23, was stabbed to death in a house on Woodthorpe Road, Woodthorpe, on Friday, March 6.

Paramedics called to the house found him with multiple stab wounds and alerted the police.

Jordan could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene, with his death sparking a major police investigation.

The crime scene still remained cordoned off yesterday and as of last night his killer remained on the run.

Extra police officers are still walking the streets of Woodthorpe in a bid to reassure residents of their safety in the wake of the knife attack.

Detectives working on the case have not yet revealed whether Jordan was deliberately targeted.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he died as a result of a stab wound to the chest.
