Girlfriend’s heartbreaking tribute to the ‘love of her life’ as young Sheffield dad killed in M1 crash

The girlfriend of a young Sheffield man killed in a crash on the M1 with his friend has paid tribute to him today and said his legacy will live on in their young son.

Tyrone Forde died when the white Volkswagen Golf he was travelling in left the M1, crashed into a barrier and trees before overturning and landing on its roof just north of Sheffield on Sunday night.

Tyrone and his friend Codeye, both in their early 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other vehicles involved in the horror crash.

Paying tribute to Tyrone, his partner Ria said: “Tyrone, the love of my life.

“Finding out the news destroyed me and turned my world upside down, I will never be the same again without you.

“Knowing I won’t be able to see your cheeky smile or be in your arms again hurts me but I know we will meet again and I know you will be watching down on me and our beautiful boy Tyree.

“He will live your legacy on and you will never ever be forgotten.”

She added: “You’re one of a kind and I love you millions, always and forever, love Ria and your little boy Tyree.”

Another tribute, posted by Panman, reads: “Well Ty...what can I say, you’re one in a million you was brother!

“Me, Isaac, Alana and Kirsten are gonna miss you so much, we all love you unreal amounts.

“Even though it was a small journey, we had a blast!

“Will never forget you and all the memories we made!

“Your baby boy Tyree will need for nothing my brother, we all got you as one big family!

“Forever in my heart.”

In another tribute, Kenz wrote: “Top boy, known and respected by many and who’d do owt for his people! Miss you Ty. Rest easy.”

Smithy added ‘love you always brother,’ Sharni said ‘rest easy Tyrone, going to miss you lots and lots’ and Eb wrote ‘rest easy Ty, smash life up there, miss you loads!’.

A fundraising page towards Tyrone’s funeral and to support his young son has been set up on the Go Fund Me website.
