Who was killed?
A man in his early 20s but he has not yet been officially named.
What happened?
Detectives investigating the murder said violence flared on two streets in Sheffield last night and one man was fatally injured.

Hide AdPolice officers were alerted to a group of men fighting in Earl Marshal Road, Fir Vale, shortly before 8pm. There were reports that some of those involved were injured. There was then a second altercation on nearby Kirton Road, Pitsmoor.
What happened to the murder victim?
Eyewitnesses said he was taken to A&E at the Northern General Hospital by car and medics raced out to treat him but he could not be saved.
Did anyone else require medical attention?
Another man in his early 20s sought treatment and remains in hospital this morning.
Has anyone been arrested?
Two men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of murder, and a man in his fifties was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Hide AdCordons are in place in Earl Marshal Road and Kirton Road, where violence fared. There is also a huge cordon in the wider Fir Vale area, near to Fir Vale School. House-to-house enquiries are being carried out and extra police officers have been drafted into the area.
What have detectives said?
Senior investigating officer, Superintendent Ian Scott, said: “Detectives are working tirelessly to piece together the sequence of events which took place last night.”
He said it is possible that other people may have sustained injuries in the violence.
DCI Scott said: “We need to establish what happened in the moments leading to the man’s death, and we cannot rule out that there are other injured parties who may require urgent medical treatment.”
