Fifth teen arrested over Sheffield rape bailed by police
A fifth teenager arrested over the rape of a woman in Sheffield has been bailed by the police.
The 14-year-old was arrested on Friday, December 4 on suspicion of joint enterprise rape after a 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in High Hazels Park, Darnall, on Monday, November 23.
He is the fifth teenage suspect to have been arrested over the incident.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with rape and a 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempted sexual assault.
Two other boys, aged 13 and 15, who were arrested on suspicion of rape, have also been released on bail.
The sex attack was reported to South Yorkshire Police the day after the incident.
Police patrols were stepped up in Darnall afterwards in a bid to reassure local residents of their safety.
The rape is being treated as an isolated incident.
