All of the defendants pictured here have had their custodial sentences extended, after committing more crimes while serving time at South Yorkshire prisons.
After being sentenced to time behind bars, some inmates try to keep their heads down and stay out of trouble.
But others wind up committing more crimes while serving time at His Majesty’s pleasure, and having their sentences extended.
Every prisoner pictured here has been convicted of crimes committed while serving at South Yorkshire’s four prisons: HMP Doncaster, HMP Lindholme, HMP Hatfield and HMP Moorland, following hearings heard at Sheffield Crown Court in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

5. Wayne Robinson: Convicted Sheffield armed-robber attacked fellow-inmate with a hot iron at Doncaster prison
Sheffield Crown Court heard on August 3, 2020 how prisoner Wayne Robinson, then aged 35, formerly of St John’s Road, Sheffield, injured fellow-inmate Carl Corker as he went to get food from the servery around dinner time on February 10.
Hannah Walker, prosecuting, said: “He went to get food from the servery and went back to his cell and saw the defendant known as Robbie walk towards him holding an iron.”
Ms Walker added that Robinson grabbed Mr Corker and put the iron against his head with some force and caused excruciating pain and the complainant had to be taken to hospital with second to third-degree burns.
The incident related to another attack by others against the same complainant, according to Miss Walker, but Cheryl Dudley, defending, said Robinson cannot explain why he got involved or what the background was before he attacked the complainant.
Robinson, who is serving a 12-year sentence for robberies while carrying weapons, pleaded guilty to attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent after the incident on February 10.

6. James Millington: Prisoner jailed for being part of 'sophisticated' gang responsible for bringing drugs into Doncaster prison
Prison officer Rio Moran along with James Millington and Callum Reilly were part of a conspiracy to supply drugs and illicit items into a number of prisons, including HMP Doncaster, and launder the ill-gotten cash, Sheffield Crown Court heard on March 2, 2022.
South Yorkshire Police’s Prison Anti-Corruption Unit arrested Moran as she arrived for work in November 2020. A substantial amount of drugs and phones were found following a search at her home address.
While officers were searching her home, Callum Reilly turned up and tried to post further contraband through the front door. This contraband was bound for HMP Doncaster.
HMP Doncaster inmate James Millington was later identified as being the recipient of the items, and he was also arrested. His partner, Claire Anderson, was found to have assisted the conspiracy and was subsequently detained at her home in Stockport, Greater Manchester, with drugs and phones at her property suspected to be bound for prison.
Moran, then aged 30, of Godfrey Place, Halifax, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply class B drugs into prison, conspiring to convey list B articles into prison and money laundering at the earlier hearing. She has been sentenced to two years behind bars.
Millington, then aged 31, of HMP Leeds, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of class B and C drugs into prison between 2017 and 2020, conspiring to supply class B drugs into prison and conspiring to convey list B articles into prison. He has been jailed for seven years and nine months.
Claire Anderson, aged 33, was brought before Sheffield Crown Court on March 31, 2022 to be sentenced for her part in the enterprise at HMP Doncaster.
