It is understood she was walking down the street when the assault took place.
It is alleged the culprit then walked away after the incident.
As police continue their investigations they have released a CCTV image of a man they say could help their enquiries.
He is described as a white elderly man, with short grey hair.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The incident was quickly reported to us and an investigation was launched.
“The victim is receiving support through our officers and appropriate services.
“Officers have conducted several lines of enquiry, including trawling through nearby CCTV, and are now releasing the image of this man as it is believed he may hold vital information for their investigation.”
