Car was stolen days before police chase

The car was pursued by Cheshire Police late on Tuesday night (September 29) near Knutsford, before it was found abandoned, with police dogs and armed officers called in to join a search for the driver, from the Sheffield area, who was found near railway lines, and arrested.

Today it emerged it had been taken several days earlier.
