Boy, seven, injured in hit-and-run in Page Hall area of Sheffield

A boy, aged seven, was injured in a hit-and-run in the Page Hall area of Sheffield.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision on Page Hall Road at 7.42pm yesterday and found that the young boy had been struck by a motorbike, which failed to stop.

He escaped with minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

A police investigation has been launched in a bid to track down the biker involved in the crash.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called at around 7.42pm on Sunday, June 6 to reports of a road traffic collision in Page Hall Road, Sheffield.

“A collision was reported between a man riding a motorbike and seven-year-old boy. The man failed to stop at the scene.

“The seven-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in the collision. He was treated by paramedics at the scene.

“Police attended the scene and made attempts to locate the man responsible. Enquiries are ongoing to trace him.
