A boy, aged 16, is due in court in Sheffield today over two stabbings in two days.

The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent over two incidents in which men were stabbed in Rotherham town centre last week.

A 30-year-old man suffered serious injuries in an attack in High Street at around 4.50pm on July 7.

And at 11.15am on July 8 a 39-year-old man was stabbed in Spring Walk.

He was also seriously injured and both men spent the weekend in hospital.

Officers have made three arrests in total in connection to the incidents.

A second 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have been bailed pending further enquiries.
