Boy, 15, ambushed and stabbed in the arm and leg in Sheffield street attack

Three men are being hunted by the police today after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in a Sheffield street.

The boy was ambushed as he walked from Wordsworth Crescent towards Dryden Road, Southey, at around 9pm yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said the teen suffered puncture wounds to his arm and leg in the stabbing.

The incident is being treated as a targeted attack.

South Yorkshire Police said: “We received a call from Yorkshire Ambulance Service at 9pm yesterday for officers' attendance at reports of a stabbing on Dryden Road in Sheffield.

“It is alleged that three men approached a 15 year-old boy while he was walking from Wordsworth Crescent towards Dryden Road.

“The boy suffered puncture wounds to his leg and arm. This is believed to be a targeted attack and enquiries are on-going.”

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 801 of February 1.
