Boy, 15, accused of robbery and wounding in Sheffield

A boy, aged 15, has appeared in court accused of robbery and wounding.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Sheffield magistrates this morning after being charged over an incident in Leighton Drive, Gleadless Valley, last month.

At around 7.50pm on Saturday, April 13, officers received reports that a 56-year-old man had been assaulted and robbed as he walked home from a nearby tram stop.His bank card was stolen and he was taken to hospital with facial injuries.

The suspect is due in court again in July.
