Awards for police 'stop and search' work in Sheffield as zombie knife and drugs are found

In one incident highlighted they stopped and searched a man and found him carrying drugs and a zombie knife.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and possession of a zombie knife.

He was also reported as a missing person.

In the second incident, a man ran off after he was stopped and about to be searched.

When officers caught up with him he was found in possession of Class A and Class B drugs and it was discovered that he was wanted by officers as a suspect in a shop robbery.

South Yorkshire Police said: “This is why proactive policing is so important.”
