Arrest made in Sheffield over drugs sent through post

An arrest was made in Sheffield as part of an operation looking at the distribution of drugs through the post.

South Yorkshire Police said officers working with UK Border Force, which monitors items imported into and exported out of the country, made an arrest in Sheffield.

The force also monitors the movement of people into and out of the country.

“United Kingdom Border Force can and do intercept such items.

“On Sunday PC Max Jackson and PC Sarah Forsythe located and arrested a person in our area for just that. The investigation continues and it appears illegal drugs may be the subject.”

The Walkley policing team was involved in making the arrests in Sheffield.
