Armed criminals on the run from police after shootings and stabbing

Detectives in the city have a number of investigations under way following a series of violent incidents over recent days.
Last week there were four shootings in Sheffield in the space of 24 hours and four days later a man was stabbed in his chest in another attack.

Hide AdIn the stabbing on Tuesday night, a 21-year-old man was knifed in his chest on Main Road, Darnall.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition today.
The series of shootings began just after midnight last Friday when a gun was fired at a group of men congregating in Grimesthorpe Road, Burngreave.
Three of the men were wounded and taken to hospital.
At around 2am, another man was injured when a gun was fired at a flat on Club Garden Road, Sharrow.

Hide AdJust before 7pm that night two groups of men opened fire at each other in Machon Bank, Nether Edge and around 30 minutes later a gun was fired at a house on nearby Union Road.
One man has been charged with drug offences after being arrested over the Machon Bank incident and another man arrested over the same offence was released under investigation.
Detectives are treating the shootings as ‘targeted’ attacks.
