Sheffield child sex offender facing prison sentence after admitting crimes including attempted rape
The 31-year-old entered guilty pleas during a Sheffield Crown Court hearing held this week
A 31-year-old man is facing a prison sentence, after he pleaded guilty to multiple child sex offences committed in Sheffield.
Deacon Taylor admitted a total of four sex offences during a Sheffield Crown Court hearing held on Monday (September 14, 2026).

They include: one count of attempted rape of a girl under 13 and three counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching.
Court documents show all four offences were committed in Sheffield.
The offence of attempted rape carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, with a typical sentencing range of between four and 19 years, while the offence of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching has a maximum sentence of 14 years, with a sentencing range of a community order to nine years’ custody.
Due to his guilty pleas, Taylor will receive a reduction off the length of his sentence, commensurate with the point in proceedings at which they were entered.
Taylor will now be required to register as a sex offender, following his guilty pleas.
The case was adjourned for sentence, with Taylor, of no fixed abode, now due to learn his fate during a hearing scheduled to take place in November.
Taylor was remanded into custody until then.
