Disgraced prison guard, drug kingpins and twisted rapists: 9 jailed at Sheffield Crown Court
They are all behind bars
The nine criminals pictured here are all beginning prison terms, after being sentenced in Sheffield Crown Court hearings heard in recent days.
They have been convicted of a variety of different offences, including misconduct in public office, possession with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon.
Sheffield judges have handed them jail terms ranging from 16 months to 18 years in length.
Some of these defendants owned up to their crimes through guilty pleas, and received a reduction off the length of their sentence, commensurate with the stage in proceedings when their pleas were entered.
Others, however, sought to deny responsibility, and were convicted after trials at the same court.
Brief details on the each defendant’s case can be found in the caption below their picture.
