Bus operators told customers this afternoon they were diverting nine routes away from the centre of Firth Park because of ‘incidents’ reported in the area, with one description putting the action down to ‘antisocial behaviour’ in that part of the city.

Police this afternoon revealed they sent officers out to Firth Park because of the issue after a man was reported walking the streets with what was believed to be a BB gun.

"Enquiries are ongoing, but we are satisfied that it was a BB gun.

"We sent officers out to the area at about 3.30pm, but by the time we got there he was no longer on the scene.”
