Antisocial behaviour 'incidents' in Sheffield this afternoon lead to bus diversions

Bus operators are this afternoon diverting their routes because of ‘incidents’ reported in an area of Sheffield.

Nearly a dozen bus routes have been affected by the incidents as operators avoid Firth Park this afternoon, with one description putting the action down to ‘antisocial behaviour’ in the area.

Travel South Yorkshire tweeted: “Owing to a number of incidents in the Firth Park area services 18, 32, 32a, 75, 76, 76a, 95 and 95a will be diverted until further notice via Barnsley Road and Hatfield House Lane in both directions.”

Stagecoach Yorkshire have also been warning passengers. They tweeted: “Services 1 & 88 will not be using Firth Park Center. Services will be diverting Barnsley Road in both directions. Due to antisocial behavior. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

The Star has approached South Yorkshire Police for more information on the incidents, which have been reported to the public by the bus companies in the last hour.
