Car smashes into house during early morning crash on Sheffield estate

Emergency services were called to the crash on Hartley Brook Avenue, Shiregreen, at around 3.30am.

They discovered that a car travelling along the street had struck a parked car, which then hit a nearby house.

One person was trapped in the car which struck the parked vehicle, but they escaped without serious injuries.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said crews from across Sheffield responded to calls about the incident.

It said: “Firefighters from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Parkway stations were called out to a road traffic collision at 3.30am on Hartley Brook Avenue, Sheffield.

“A car had collided with a parked car, which went into a premise.

“One person was trapped in the car but luckily there were no reports of any serious injuries.

“The crews left the scene at 4.15am.”
