Bruno has nose for police work
The South Yorkshire force springer spaniel has a special talent for sniffing out evidence.
Officers were called at 6pm yesterday (Monday July 25) to report of a male sat in a car taking drugs in Barnsley East area.
On arrival the vehicle was seen driving away. It was caused to stop and the driver was detained for purposes of a search.
PD Bruno was introduced to the search team and it didn't take him long to locate a stash of cannabis in the vehicle.
The 28 year-old male driver was arrested for possession of a drug and also failed a drug wipe. Blood samples have been taken and results will depend on future action.
