Body found in river formally identified
A body found in the River Trent has been identified as a missing East Butterwick woman.
Kathleen Preston, 82, of East Butterwick was reported missing on Sunday November 9 prompting an immediate police investigation and public appeal.
A body recovered from the water at Gunness Wharf, Gunness on Wednesday December 3 has now been identified as being that of Mrs Preston.
Police have been in close contact with the family of Mrs Preston throughout the enquiry.
Police would like to thank the public for their support during this investigation.
