CITY JAM launches INDUSTRY.AIFF to help labels turn signed artists into release-ready catalogue

CITY JAM has launched INDUSTRY.AIFF, a new finishing-through-launch programme designed to help record labels move signed artists from development stage to commercially ready releases.
Led by CITY JAM founder Pat Villaceran, INDUSTRY.AIFF addresses a challenge faced by many labels: artists who have been signed but have yet to reach a stage where they can be released, marketed and scaled effectively. The programme combines song-writing, production, artist development and launch strategy within a single senior-led framework, providing labels with a direct path from artist acquisition to market-ready catalogue.
Villaceran, who is also the founder of the award-winning global innovation agency The MooVe, has spent more than two decades designing innovation and growth programmes for founders and organisations across Asia Pacific, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. With INDUSTRY.AIFF, she is applying those same principles to artist development and release execution.
"Labels do not lack capital or A&R," said Villaceran. "They lack conversion. A signing is an asset that only pays when the artist is finished and the launch is owned. That is the work INDUSTRY.AIFF is built for."
According to CITY JAM, the programme was created in response to an industry-wide bottleneck. While labels have expanded their scouting, signing and distribution capabilities, many continue to face delays between signing talent and bringing commercially viable projects to market.
Unlike traditional vendor-based models, which often separate song-writing, production, creative development and marketing across multiple suppliers, INDUSTRY.AIFF integrates those functions into a single programme. The goal is to create continuity from the earliest stages of development through to release and audience activation.
The programme includes holistic song-writing development, music production, creative finishing, launch planning and audience growth strategies. It also incorporates institutional-grade consumer marketing, hyper-segmented audience targeting and integrated research processes that run in parallel with social, community and distribution activity.
CITY JAM said INDUSTRY.AIFF is intended for labels and artist services companies seeking additional senior-level capacity to develop and launch artists more efficiently. Through a network of songwriters, producers and creative partners operating across multiple markets, the programme aims to reduce development friction and accelerate the journey from signed talent to releasable catalogue.
With INDUSTRY.AIFF, CITY JAM is positioning itself as a strategic partner for labels looking to strengthen artist development pipelines while maintaining ownership of the commercial path to launch.
