Popular Fox Valley markets in Sheffield to resume this weekend with social distancing in place

Popular open air markets at Sheffield’s Fox Valley shopping centre are set to resume this weekend, after lockdown restrictions were eased.

Shoppers will be able to browse market stalls at the venue in Stocksbridge throughout the weekend.

The weekly market will return this Friday, June 5, with the monthly farmers market taking place the following day and the monthly craft market on Sunday, June 7.

Fox Valley said traders would be following ‘strict social distancing guidelines and processes’ to keep people safe and the layout would be adapted to ensure there is suffiicent space for people to keep their distance while queuing.

The weekly market on Friday will run from 10am-4pm, Saturday’s farmers market will run from 9am-3pm and the craft market on Sunday will run from 10am-3pm.

Outdoor markets are allowed to open from today, under the new relaxed restrictions, while non-essential shops can open from Monday, June 15.
