Sheffield Council’s Stray Kennels have 27 dogs listed as up for adoption right now.
Most of them were sadly found as strays, and the rest are there through no fault of their own.
One of them is an unnamed 10-week-old Belgian Malinois.
If you’re thinking of getting a dog, why not adopt and give one of these pups in need a home?
The 14 photos of them below include the description of them from the shelter.
If there are any you think you could adopt, enquire through the shelter’s website.

5. Ripley
"Rippers here. I’m very jumpy around unusual sounds and this means I have a tendency to ‘bite out’. This doesn’t mean I’m not loving and I don’t like my homely comforts, like my own bed or a sofa of my own, but I’m told I’m better suited to it in a space of my own like a nice outdoor kennel. That way I don’t get spooked too easily, and hurt myself or anyone else. I like my walks and although I’m anxious in the home, I love my walks with furry friends. If you are my special home and can offer me what i need then Please get in touch. I have lots of hugs waiting for you!" | Sheffield Council Stray Kennels

6. Ralph
"Ralph is a Jack Russel Terrier who is approximately 7 years old. He is very lively in typical terrier style and very friendly. Ralph is known to be good with other dogs and has previously lived with children and is great with them. He cannot live with cats and is prone to chasing them when out on a walk. Ralph is a bit of an escape artist so will need a home with a fully secure garden." | Sheffield Council Stray Kennels

7. Pixie
"Pixie is a lovely friendly girl, she’s great with people, but can be choosy with other dogs. She needs a strong, confident owner to teach her some doggy manners. She has a lovely temperament, and as much as she loves to play, she also loves to climb on your lap for cuddles. Pixie is used to having someone around most of the day, although can be left for a couple of hours. We think Pixie would settle into the right home as an only dog, providing she receives the stimulation she needs to meet her energy levels. We are looking for someone who would be willing to put some time into her training and enforcing the right rules and boundaries so she can reach her potential and be the cracking dog we know she can be." | Sheffield Council Stray Kennels

8. Isaac
"Isaac was handed over to kennels due to no fault of his own. Isaac is only 11 months old. He has a very friendly, playful & affectionate temperament. He needs further training and a gentle reminder when it comes to housetraining. He is friendly with other dogs but cannot live with cats. He was okay to be left a couple of hours in his previous home." | Sheffield Council Stray Kennels
