Hide AdEdale Mountain Rescue Team described how five visitors had become ‘cragfast’ on the steep slopes of the Hope Valley beauty spot. While three eventually managed to get down themselves, two had to be helped to safety by firefighters.
“The pinnacles around Winnats Pass look so inviting, and it’s only when people who are not comfortable on steep ground look back, that it becomes apparent to how dangerous their situation is,” said the team.
“Please enjoy the Peak District but just think twice about what adventures you set out upon.”
