Three Sheffield brownfield plots earmarked for houses after 25 years empty
“We want higher numbers of good quality, spacious homes for all tenures”
Over 130 homes are set to be built in Sheffield on land that has stood empty for 25 years.
Sheffield Housing Company says it is about to submit plans for 32 houses on Wulfric Road, Manor, 74 at Deerlands Avenue, Parson Cross, and 27 on Daresbury Drive, Arbourthorne.

The plots have stood empty since demolitions around the turn of the century, the company says.
On Wulfric Road a football ‘kickabout area’ would be lost and the goalposts moved, likely to Manor Fields Park.
The company is a joint venture between Sheffield City Council, private developer Keepmoat and housing association Great Places Housing Group.
They would be between one and four beds, and include rented, shared ownership and private sale.

Councillor Douglas Johnson, chair of the housing policy committee at Sheffield City Council, said: “We want higher numbers of good quality, spacious homes for all tenures - which are fit for the future and which home owners and tenants can be proud to call home. Partnership work is getting these built and this will only benefit residents across the city.”
Steve Birch director at SHC said the houses would be built to high energy performance standards, have off-street private parking and “habitat and biodiversity areas.”
He added: “In this way, SHC is leading neighbourhood regeneration and development activity in these strong existing communities.”
