New Wingstop fast food restaurant in Sheffield city centre applying for permission to serve alcohol
An application has been submitted to the council
A new fast food restaurant set to open in Sheffield city centre is applying for permission to sell alcohol.
Wingstop is set to open a new site on Barker’s Pool besides BOX sports bar.
The American chicken restaurant chain has been expanding across the country, with a site already opened in Meadowhall.

Now, as progress is made on opening their latest site, an application has been sent to Sheffield City Council for a premises license to sell alcohol.
If approved, it would allow them to sell alcohol on and off the premises between 10am until midnight Monday to Sunday.
Late night refreshments will also be available from 11pm to 2am, Sunday to Wednesday, and 11pm to 4am Thursday to Saturday.
The application has been put forward by Lemon Pepper Holdings Limited and is currently open for consultation.
A public notice released on November 5 adds: “Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by The Licensing Service, Block C, Staniforth Road Depot, Staniforth Road, Sheffield, S9 3HD or via email to [email protected] no later than November 24 stating the grounds for representation.”
The restaurant will join several chicken outlets in the city centre including Dave’s Hot Chicken, KFC and Popeyes on The Moor, as well as independents.
It will take over 17 Barker’s Pool, a unit within the Gaumont building, part of the Heart of the City regeneration scheme.
