The boozer on Sheffield Road announced it was installing the system at the beginning of 2025, under different managers.

It changed hands in August and fully reopened three weeks ago after a revamp.

The decision comes as three Sheffield pubs installed £100 parking cameras to stop non-customers blocking spaces.

New Angel manager James said they would be removing the cameras “soon.”

He added: “People were parking up when the pub was shut and getting fines because they couldn’t input their registration number.

“We couldn’t do anything because we don’t have access to the parking system and it was looking bad on us.

“People want to come in and enjoy themselves and not worry about a fine.”

Three Sheffield pubs with large car parks installed parking cameras earlier this month after bosses lost patience with non-customers.

The Fox House at Longshaw, The Belfry in Beighton and Meadow Farm in Ecclesfield now demand £100 from drivers who fail to register on a tablet inside.

All had historically allowed a free-for-all and the sites were used by a huge range of people.
