£100 parking charge cameras installed at Meadow Farm pub in Sheffield due to 'occasional' misuse
“We have occasionally experienced our car park being used by people who are not visiting the pub, which can reduce availability for our guests.”
Meadow Farm pub on Nether Lane in Ecclesfield has a tablet in reception where customers who arrive by car input vehicle details.
The site is policed by Britannia Parking Group which sends letters demanding £100 for breaking the rules.

It is the third Greene King-owned pub in Sheffield to install parking cameras this week, after The Fox House at Longshaw and the Belfry at Beighton.
A spokesperson for Meadow Farm said: “To ensure the best possible experience for our customers when they visit the Meadow Farm, it is important that they can easily find a parking space close to the pub.
“We have occasionally experienced our car park being used by people who are not visiting the pub, which can reduce availability for our guests.

“To help address this, we have introduced a new parking management system. Parking remains free of charge for genuine pub customers.”
On Tripadvisor, a review states: “Beware £60 fine for parking. Been loads of times so must be new. I will not be going again.”
A response states: “Hi. If you call in we can sort for you. Many thanks.”

Concerns have been raised over how long motorists have to turn around and leave if they decide not to stay, or are only picking people up, before a £100 letter is issued.
No receipt, or other form evidence, is produced when drivers use the tablet, leaving them unable to challenge the £100 letter.
Greene King previously urged customers to keep receipts for food and drink.
It also says genuine guests who mistakenly receive a parking notice charge notice can contact customer relations
