What everyone heading to pubs and restaurants in Sheffield must do this weekend

Sheffield public health boss Greg Fell has issued a reminder of the importance of track and trace as people head to bars and restaurants in Sheffield this weekend.

Mr Fell said all those visiting venues for food and drinks over the weekend must provide their contact details so that they can be traced if anyone else also out socialising in the same places tests positive for Covid-19.

He said: “Pubs and restaurants are still proving interesting.

“So I’d ask everyone to remember if you are out socialising in bars and restaurants that you complete your contact details to enable the track and track system to operate effectively, should someone in a bar or restaurant need to track back and work out who was in certain premises at a certain time.”

A new coronavirus testing station was set up in Alderson Road, Sharrow, last week and plans are being drawn up for an extra two in Darnall and Burngreave.
