These are the four areas of Sheffield where Covid has been almost completely eradicated
Four Sheffield neighbourhoods have been declared ‘Covid free’, the latest figures have revealed.
This is according to the most recent government data covering the seven days to Tuesday, February 16 and available to view on an interactive map.
These areas are Springvale and Steel Bank, Fulwood and Lodge Moor, Dore and Whirlow and Deepcar and Bolsterstone.
In such instances where there are fewer than three cases in an area, the Government holds back on releasing further data in order to protect the identities of the infected individuals.
The true number of cases in the area is unknown, but it could be that there have not been any cases in that area.
There were 119 cases per 100,000 people in Sheffield during February 11- February 18, the latest week for which data is available.
Cases were down by 153 compared with the previous week, showing a drop in infections.
As of February 20, 14,844,087 people in England have had the first dose of the vaccine.
