NHS England’s daily update on hospital deaths during the coronavirus pandemic shows that 11 more fatalities have been recorded in the country since yesterday figures were released.

It is the lowest daily increase since March 13 and takes the total number of hospital deaths in England to 29,077.

The figure does not include care home deaths or those in any other setting.

The latest 11 hospital patients to die were all aged between 72 and 95 and all had known underlying health conditions.

In Sheffield a total of 288 hospital patients have died so far.

A further 229 have died in Doncaster, 196 in Rotherham and 148 in Barnsley.Lockdown measures were eased again today, with beauty salons, nail bars and tattoo studios allowed to open again although some beauty treatments are not yet allowed.
