The 15 areas of Sheffield with the fewest coronavirus deaths

More than 500 people have now died with coronavirus in Sheffield, but some parts of the city have been much worse hit than others.

There have been 66 COVID-19 deaths in one neighbourhood, Crabtree and Fir Vale, which is more than anywhere else in England.

Yet three districts within the city had yet to see a single coronavirus-related death up to the end of May, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Across Sheffield, a total of 538 people died with COVID-19 during the three months between March and May, data published by the ONS today, Friday, June 12, shows.

These are the the 15 neighbourhoods out of 70 across the city with the fewest deaths recorded in hospitals, care homes or elsewhere in the community during that period.
