We are once again saluting Sheffield’s NHS health heroes working on the frontline to help keep us all safe and healthy during the coronavirus pandemic.
They are the people who are working tirelessly around the clock to keep our National Health Service – and our country – running and every single one of them cannot be praised enough.
We are celebrating our key worker heroes, and we’ve asked you to highlight the brave individuals and teams you know who are working on the frontline.
Here’s a lineup of some Sheffield #healthheroes we should all applaud.
We’ve had an overwhelming response, so if we missed your nominee out, we’ll try to give them the shout out they deserve in the days to come.
Click through our picture gallery to see if you can spot yourself or somebody you may know – and don’t forget to show your appreciation for all our key workers at 8pm today by taking part in the nationwide #clapforourcarers.

17. Rachel and Rebecca Ward, Northern General Hospital
"This is a photo of our NHS heroes our daughters Rachel and Rebecca Ward," says proud mum Anne. "Rachel works on Vickers 2 and Rebecca works on the McMillan palliative care unit looking after patients who have been admitted with Covid-19. As their mum and dad we have never felt as proud or as scared for them both at the same time. People need to listen to Boris Johnson and stay at home because they aren't only putting their lives at risk but our daughters too working on the frontline." Photo: Anne Ward
"B1 charge nurse Dan Gray has been so supportive and helpful at this awful time with staff and patients," says proud colleague Leanne Myers. "Nothing is too big of ask. He's empathetic, caring and such a professional I'm grateful to be working along side him and the rest of Brearley 1 staff during this pandemic. A true definition of a NHS health hero." Photo: UGC
"This is my daughter Hannah Lindley, newly qualified nurse working at Rotherham Hospital. She is my hero, working on the front line xxxx," says proud mum Joanne Price. Photo: Joanne Price
