They are the people who are working tirelessly around the clock to keep our National Health Service – and our country – running and every single one of them cannot be praised enough.
We are celebrating our key worker heroes, and we’ve asked you to highlight the brave individuals and teams you know who are working on the frontline.
Here’s a lineup of some Sheffield #healthheroes we should all applaud.
We’ve had an overwhelming response, so if we missed your nominee out, we’ll try to give them the shout out they deserve in the days to come.
Click through our picture gallery to see if you can spot yourself or somebody you may know – and don’t forget to show your appreciation for all our key workers at 8pm today by taking part in the nationwide #clapforourcarers.

5. Charlotte Sanderson, Northern General Hospital
"This is our daughter Charlotte Sanderson she’s lives on Manor Park and is our hero. She works in the A&E at Northern. She is a very kind, honest hard working girl who gives 100 per cent in her job and goes above and beyond for everyone and we are so proud of her," says mum Joanne. Photo: JOANNE SANDERSON
"I would like to nominate my wonderful husband for you health hero campaign, his name is Carl Froggatt, he is 54 and works for Yorkshire Ambulance Service as a paramedic/clinical supervisor," says wife Lucinda. "We live in Ecclesfield and he works out of Middlewood Ambulance Station. He has worked for the ambulance service for 20 years and loves his job." Photo: Lucinda Froggatt
Michelle Sheriff, radiographer in Sheffield. "She also suffers from asthma and still goes to work - always putting others first," says step-daughter Danielle Fenton. Photo: Danielle Imogen Louise Fenton
Nichole Bishop, who works on Brearley Wing and is also providing support in the A&E at the Northern General Hospital.
"She's a single mum of a small boy but is still busting a gut for the NHS. She’s a star," says Diane Else. Photo: Diane Else
